NATIONAL Car Rental at Seattle Airport

National has a counter at the Rental Car Facility at Sea-Tac, located about 2 miles from the main terminal at Seattle Airport. Free shuttle buses run 24/7 to this facility, leaving every 5 minutes from pickup points located at the north and south end of the terminal, from the Baggage Claim area's lower level. It takes only 7 or 8 minutes to get to the National Sea-Tac counter. The National counter is open 24/7 too and staff can be contacted on tel +1 833 329 8465. National is locted in Suite 507 at 3150 South 160th Street, WA 98188. This is the lobby on the 5th floor. Reservations can be made at www.nationalcar.com.

If you didn't rent a vehicle from National upon arrival and later change your mind: there's another National office in Downtown at 1601 3rd Avenue, Seattle WA98101 (tel +1 888 826 6890).

The minimum age for renters is 21 years. Underage renters (21 to 24) pay a daily fee of $25.00 (price 2019) on top of their base rate and they are limited to certain types of rental vehicles - Economy class through to Full-size cars and minivans are allowed, luxury and specialities are not for example.

The National Seattle Airport fleet includes vehicles like the Midsize car Hyundai Elantra, the Midsize SUV Toyota Rav4, the Luxury Cadillac XTS and Premium Car Nissan Maxima. If you need more seating, there's also the minivan Dodge Grand Caravan (7-seater) and vehicles like it.

Optional extras include Loss Damage Waiver protection, personal accident insurance that covers driver and passengers, personal effects insurance for things left inside the vehicle, Sirius XM satellite radio, GPS navigation devices, infant and child safety seats and fuel service options. Unlimited mileage, all local taxes and airport fees are already included in the base rate.

Roadside assistance is also available for a surcharge. This includes 24/7 cover in case of emergencies like lost keys, flat batteries or tires and help when keys are locked inside the vehicle by accident.

Payment can be made by credit card: American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa are all accepted. It's also possible to pay by debit card, Travelers Cheque and Money Order.
